One of the many benefits of WordPress is it’s awesome community. If you’ve ever wondered how to become a part of this great community the Contributor Day is the best way to start! Everyone can start contributing regardless of your skill-level, so you don’t have to be a developer or designer.
The Contributor Day at the WordCamp Vienna 2019 is the second day of the event and as the name suggests we contribute to WordPress. But what does that mean exactly?
Basically we gather at a smaller location as the day before and together we give back to WordPress / the WordPress Community. These are just a few areas where you could help out:
- General Forum Support
- Polyglot (translations of the CMS, themes and plugins)
- Contributing to WordPress Core
- Theme and Plugin reviews
- Improving the Theme and Plugin developer handbooks
The Contributor Day is also a great way to learn from experienced WordPress users and you can also use this opportunity to network.
In addition we also planned two very interesting workshops on how to create your content strategy and how to get started in WordPress.
So if you want to contribute just come to the Contributor Day. There you can pick your group and become a part of the WordPress Community!
