On Friday, April 10, we will kick things off in the afternoon with 6 workshops for beginners, intermediate users, and developers — as well as a session designed to encourage exchange within the Austrian WordPress community.

Saturday, April 11, is our main conference day with three established tracks and a total of 21 WordPress talks — in German, English, as well as a dedicated developer track.

We have exciting workshops and talks prepared for you — we’re looking forward to seeing you!

Our Location at the University of Vienna

WordCamp Vienna 2026 will take place at the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH), the centrally located campus of the University of Vienna.

The historic building complex offers modern event spaces, large inner courtyards, and excellent access to public transportation. Restaurants, cafés, and green areas create a pleasant atmosphere — perfect for talks, networking, and outdoor breaks.

What is a WordCamp?

WordCamps are informal, local, community-organized events for everyone who uses WordPress — the free and open-source publishing system that powers over 43% of the web worldwide (and around 60% in Austria).

This includes bloggers, designers, developers, authors, marketers, copywriters, SEOs, companies, startups, non-profits, agencies, freelancers — and complete beginners as well. The goal is to share knowledge, learn from one another, and connect.

Participating — whether as an attendee, sponsor, speaker, or volunteer — is a great opportunity to learn something new, build connections within the WordPress community, and contribute to an open-source project that enriches millions of websites and makes our digital daily lives easier and better.
