Stefan Buchberger

Stefan knows the way from an initial idea to the finished book, from production to people’s shelves and reading devices: As a book publisher he was responsible for programs and redactions, marketing and PR, distribution, contracts, rights and fundraising. He was concerned with analog and digital products, worked in a bookstore and as an editor for literary magazines.

In 2001, during his studies of German Philology and Political Science, he co-founded Luftschacht Verlag, an independent publishing house that has gained international recognition for it’s literary fiction, graphic novels and children’s books.

With his new project Buch & Berger he finally combines his industry experience with his enthusiasm for web technology – aiming to meet the demand for better websites and web publishing strategies on the part of writers, publishers and their fellow book workers. (And of course WordPress is his favorite press for books that live in the web.)

Thomas Kräftner

Thomas Kräftner is an interactive developer with a degree in Information Design. His studies taught him that one should always keep his mind open for new stuff and not silo oneself in a very narrow field of work. Therefore, while having a clear focus on web development, he also has a good understanding of a lot of surrounding fields.

He launched his first WordPress powered client website right after starting his freelance business in 2008. With 6 years of professional experience he has been serving everything from small companies to big enterprises. Presenting his clients content in exciting, effective and aesthetically appealing ways is his topmost goal. Apart from online presences he is also interested in concise information-visualizations and interesting generative design.

Since 2014 Thomas has been co-organizing the WPVienna Meetup and is an active member of the WordPress Development Community on Stackexchange – all leading to the next logical step of joining the WordCamp Vienna team.
