Meet the Speakers: Petya Raykovska

Petya is a media monster and a huge WordPress enthusiast. She’s an active member of the WordPress community, contributing to the awesome Polyglots team alongside some of the most inspiring people in the world.

She was lucky enough to go to Leiden in 2013 for the first WordCamp Europe where she fell head over heels in love with the WordPress project and the wonderful people surrounding it. Petya was a part of the organising team of WordCamp Europe 2014 in Sofia!

Bruce is an Australian who’s been living in Austria for the last 20 years. He’s an SEO specialist based in Niederösterreich with over 12 years experience with Search Engine Optimisation and Web Application design. He has been using WordPress for the last 3 years and has learnt lots of shortcuts and tricks that he loves passing on to others. Clarifying SEO and online marketing for business owners is his passion. He is an active member of Vienna WordPress Meetup where he presented “how to rank first in Google” last year.

We received more than 25 applications for our first WordCamp Vienna. We are now reading them carefully and selecting the best ones to fill our speakers lineup! We want to thank all who applied, you are going to hear from us soon.

Follow our blog carefully because starting tomorrow we are going to announce our speakers’ selection and our final schedule. Just a few weeks to WordCamp Vienna 2015, we are almost ready!

Call for Speakers

WordCamp Vienna is happening on the 11th of April 2015 and we are looking for excellent speakers. The game is very simple: we give you a stage, you rock it!

Talk Format & Submission Guidelines

As WordCamp Vienna is an opportunity to showcase the best of WordPress, and of WordPress in Central Europe, we want speakers that are well experienced and we look forward to well-prepared applications. Our sessions will be 25 minutes long with 10 additional minutes for Q&A with the audience. If you have more than one idea, submit them all, we’ll pick the one we like best. Please send one submission per talk.

Submission Deadline

We’re expecting your awesome speaking proposal by 28 February 2015. All candidates will be contacted by 16 March. Oh, and don’t buy your ticket just yet. All approved speakers get a free ticket for the event and a batch of tickets will be available for you in case you are not selected but still want want to attend.
